Cocktails are not only about great taste, but presentation is also an important factor.
For The Magna, we recommend serving it in a Martini glass and garnishing with either a pineapple, lime or lemon wedge for a refreshing zest finish.
PINEAPPLE WEDGE
Lay the pineapple horizontally and cut it into wedges, keeping the rind at the base of each triangle.
Slightly cut into the tip of the wedge.
Place the wedge onto a glass. You can also slide the wedge on the rim of the glass to spread the taste of the fruit and serve.
To give your cocktail a more tropical feel, why not add a paper parasol? You can pick these up for under £5 from retailers like Amazon or Wayfair.
LIME OR LEMON WEDGE
Cut off both ends of the lemon or lime.
Separate the rind and the inner side of the lemon or lime using a knife or spoon.
Next, cut the rind into strips and twist.
The outside of the lemon is where the flavour lies but with the lime it's the juice. Some of this juice can be used to line the rim of your glass which is where most the zest will come from. You can squeeze a small amount into The Magna too if you wish.
To finish, place the twist on the rim of a Martini glass.
To top it off, sprinkle a couple of edible flowers to bring your cocktail to life.
We always recommend chilling our drinks before consumption. Alternatively, pour 2-3 ice cubes in a cocktail shaker, pour in the desired amount of drink and shake for 10-15 seconds. Pour the drink into a martini glass and use the lime wedge or pineapple to garnish.
Enjoy!
